About EDOKO Institute Vienna

EDOKO INSTITUTE Vienna was founded in 2004 by the artist/filmmaker Edgar Honetschläger. Our task is to produce films, realize public art projects, seek synergies between science and film and the fine arts against the background of promoting intellectual exchange between Austria/Europe and Japan.

Message from the producers

Edoko institute is a brain transfer. We believe that Europe and Japan are closer to each other, than the geographical, economical and intellectual reality reflect it. Edoko Institute and COM Institute have joined force and are now building a vivid bridge beween the East and the West. But our activties are reaching out far beyond this bridge: we are working on the future of mankind and we are convinced that it will be good one.

Since its constitution Edoko Institute has sucessfully produced a public art project at the World EXPO in AICHI-ken, Japan - as well as two films. We are now about to produce our first feature film.
